When is a custom system worth exploring?
Start by looking at the work between your existing tools: repeated data entry, missing context, approvals scattered across messages and records assembled by hand. A custom build may be worth exploring when those gaps are specific to your business. If an existing product handles the task well, it may be the simpler choice.
Can it connect to the software we already use?
We review your current tools during scoping. Integrations depend on the access, exports, APIs and licence terms those tools provide. Bring the names of your systems and an example of the information that needs to move between them.
What do we need to agree before building?
Define the workflow, the people using it, permissions, integrations and the records being migrated. Agree the build scope, ownership, third-party licences, running costs, support and handover. Those details belong in the build agreement.
